My Role

A Newborn Care Specialist (NCS) is trained to provide expert care for infants from birth, typically working night shifts to allow parents to get much needed rest. They educate families on newborn needs, demonstrate care techniques, and offer tailored support.

A Postpartum Doula provides overall support to families during the transition into parenthood, providing emotional and physical assistance. Their role includes offering guidance on infant needs, helping with household tasks, and providing resources for postpartum recovery.

Having a provider who is both a Newborn Care Specialist and a Postpartum Doula offers comprehensive support. This combination ensures that both the baby and the parents receive the care they need, fostering a smoother adjustment to family life and fostering happy and health postpartum outcomes.
